Aftershock (★★★ Empire US iPad Review)

AftershockSquareAs uncompromising as you’d expect from producer/co-writer Eli Roth, Chilean director Nicolás López’s all-too-realistic, blackly comic “disaster horror” will have your pulse registering about 9.5 on the Richter scale. Proving that the only thing more terrifying than Mother Nature is human nature, López does a great of setting up the usual group of love/hate characters (including one played by Roth himself), before unleashing the earthquake that is only the beginning of their troubles. ★★★
