Creepshow (Empire DVD/Blu Review)

CreepshowSquareWith portmanteau horror films back in vogue, the Stephen King-scripted, George A Romero-directed tribute to E.C.-style horror comics offers five moralistic fables, ranging from the gleefully silly to the grotesquely funny. It doesn’t quite live up to its tagline (“The most fun you’ll ever have being scared”), but King spins a good yarn.

EXTRAS Two commentaries (one with Romero and FX wizard Tom Savini), deleted scenes, feature-length ‘making of’.
